Here is a pic of me coming through in the feed zone going into my second lap. If you open the pic you can easily notice the f'ed up front wheel. A couple of minutes of pounding on the ground and it still slightly rubbed the fork in one spot. Fun stuff.
Thanks Marcy for the pic. I'm not exactly sure how she took this pic and then gave me a bottle seconds later. Her multi-tasking skills have improved since having the baby I guess. There is something about holding the baby while folding laundry while cooking dinner while vacuuming that seems to hone those multi-tasking skills.

I have to confess. I pawned the camera off on Darcy. I took pictures of the other Bikeman Riders while holding Brynna but was one hand short to pass you a bottle, hold a screaming child and snap a photo!
all confidence in you is now lost.
I guess you will be finding someone else to pass you bottles then...?
Life is just one dissapointment after another. Nice wheel. jm
Hey now! I did send him to the race with one of these: http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/Muffaletta.htm
look at that thing! with fuel like that wheel issue or no wheel issue,.
dude shoulda won :)
It's a Muffaletaa Jihada
that was a post race snack. Had I eaten it before the race, I would have been doubled over the bars begging for death. Big sandwich + high 80's + mega climb = extreme vomititus.
At least you would have had a top tube with some snacks on it instead of Hammer Gels!
whoa. that blows. did you find the guy after the race and run over his bike w/your car? probably not a very sportsmanlike thing to do i guess... but most excellent finish! way to hang in there.
I actually decided I was being too much of a crybaby and kept my mouth shut. Racing is racing and shit happens I guess.
Yeah, shit happens, but running over his bike woulda felt ggggggggoooood. HA! I usually like when shit happens to the "other guy" not to me or my peeps. Later.
