Getting There
Before the race season started, I set a goal weight of 185 lbs. A weight that I last hit in high school when I was working my ass off to gain weight. If you asked anyone who went to high school with me, they would say that I was skinny as a rail. It was not a goal that I actually expected to hit but this morning, for the first time, I hit the magic number. I got on and off the scale three times (and even had Marcy come and confirm) to be sure it was correct. I then ran downstairs to grab the camera and magically gained .6 lbs. Fuck the universe!
On another note, last night I made it out for the Wednesday night road ride in Brunswick. The turn out was wicked (that's Mainer for "really") weak with only three of us showing but we did our best to turn ourselves inside out anyway and leaving me thoroughly trashed for tonight's bather ride. Perfectamundo. If nothing horrific happens between now and Sunday, I'm on pace for my highest mileage week of the year (which means that tomorrow's post will be made from my hospital bed...)

There must be .6lbs in thoose fur legs Rick....;-)
you're right miff but I've been enjoying not dealing with the shaving hassle.
Did Marcy hold the camera? I just broke under 160 lbs and grabbed the camera, only to gain 0.6 lbs! Then it dawned on me...
I thought of that and actually set the camera on the dresser in front of me until the scale registered my weight and then grabbed the camera.
and 160? wtf?
I hate you.
Maybe that's proof that if you exercise you gain wait. Maybe I should stop riding all together and *maybe* I can drop some girth.
cheers
