Dealing With the Elements

One of my coworkers recently asked me how our Honda Element does in the snow. I said that with good snow tires it goes awesome. Now I have proof. Yesterday's 12+" posed no problem for the element to get through the snow bank and down our 300' long driveway. Witness:

That's awesome. Same thing for the old AUDI wagon. With snow tires it's very difficult to get stuck. I shoulda made a video!!

Very cool! I miss my Element. I really dig my xB, but wish I had the room of the Element. I had the AWD model and it sucked in the snow, BUTTTTT I never had snow tires for it due to the fact we were in no financial sitch to get them. I'm getting some for the xB though. I'm sick or worrying about getting stuck and feeling trapped due to stupid snow.

I don't care how kick ass your car is, without good snows it will suck in the winter. get some for the xb stat!

Agreed on the tires. Back in the day I used to drive 80 miles RT to my job @ Stratton Mt. After a couple of years I finally had enough cash to get a set of Nokian Hakkapaliita's. Mind blowing performance - that was with a little CRX. Went from "uh.. not sure about this.." to: "why'd they clear all the damn snow?!!"

We just ordered Nokian Hakkas for our VW Passat!
