They are wicked heavy, but you get something for that weight. The big rubber sole lugs actually provide some modicum of traction on granite, unlike the hard plastic material of Sidi Dom's. You also get a very solid toe box, so no more rocks fipping up, jamming your big toe and bringing tears to your eyes. I don't think the top-side stitching is as durable as Sidi though.
